Mou is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#MCF44134), with a Bachelor's of Arts in Clinical Psychology, emphasis in Human Sexuality from San Francisco State University, and Master of Art's degree from Pepperdine University, in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
Mou has extensive experience working with a variety of populations and diverse lifestyles. Mou began her studies of Psychology in 1990 and clinical work in the social services and mental health realm in 1993. She has provided direct service in various urban settings, including working with individuals and families affected by HIV/Aids, sexual abuse survivors, drug addiction, sex offenders and families of sex offenders, foster children, emotionally disturbed children and their families.
She also worked with the psychiatric population, she ran art, music and recreation therapy groups with adults. She has extensive knowledge and experience working with transgender population as well as acute schizophrenic, and bipolar mental disorders.
